About 600 students from the University greek system turned out for the event, which raised approximately $2000 to be donated to the Make-A-Wish foundation, an organization that grants wishes to seriously ill children. Like contestants on the MTV show “Say What? Karaoke,” groups from each fraternity competed against each other as representatives from University sororities judged which had r Adam Amato Emerald the best lip-synching rendition. The Make-A-Wish Foundation is supported by the Chi Omega national organization, and all philanthropies the sorority sponsors benefit the charity, member Erica Hetfeldsaid. “We’ve done lots of activities with the Make-A-Wish Foundation over the years,” she said. “It’s a really rewarding experience for our house. ” Each member of the winning fraternity, Delta Sigma Phi, will receive a free car wash from the women of Chi Omega. —Kara Cogswell Congratulations Class of 2002!
